Be Baptised

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5.

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me ... ... shall baptize you with Holy Ghost and with fire. Mathew 3:11.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Matthew 28:18&19.

Partake of the Holy Communion

And when he had given thanks, he break it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. And in the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. I Corinthians 11: 24 & 25.

...this cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. Luke 22:20.

Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:54.

Love Thy Neighbour

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and all the prophets. Mathew 22: 37-40. Mark 12:31.

Thou shalt not avenge, not bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:18.

Do Good for Evil/ Love Thy Enemies

But I say to you love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44.

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Luke 6:35.

Rejoice not when thy enemy falleth, let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth. Proverbs 24:17

Be Meciful

And what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God. Micah 6:8.

Be therefore merciful, as your father also is merciful. Luke 6:36.

Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy. Matthew 5:7.

Denounce the World

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26.

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and goodly in this present world. Titus 2:12.

Resist Not Evil

Ye resist not evil; but whosoever shalt strike thee on thy right cheek, turn him the other also. Matthew 5:39.

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Romans 12:17.

... for he maketh his son to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:45.

Retaliate Not

Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Leviticus 19:18.

Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the Lord, and he shall save thee. Proverbs 20:22.

Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:9.

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Romans 12: 19.

Curse Not

Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. Luke 6:28.

Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Romans 12:14.

Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to Psalms 109:28; Ecclesiastes 10:20;

Judge Not

Judge not that ye be not judged. Romans 2:1; Matthew 7:1.

Therefore judge nothing before the time until the Lord come who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts and then shall every man have praise of God. 1 Corinthians 4:5.

There is one law giver, who is able to save and to destroy, who art thou that judgest another? James 4:12.

Abhor That Which Is Evil

Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. I Corinthians 10:7.

Abstain from all appearance of evil. I Thessalonians 5:22.

Ye that love the Lord hate evil. Psalms 97:10.

A wise man feareth and departeth from evil. Proverbs 14:16.

For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile; let him eschew evil.1 Peter 3:10 & 11.

And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in his heart. Zechariah 7:10.

Abstain From Fleshly Lust

Abstain from fleshly lust which war against the soul. 1 Peter2:11.

For as much then as Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind, for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. 1 Peter 4:12.

For, if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die. Romans 8:13.

This I say then, walk in spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Galatians 5:16.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing. John 6:63.

Abstain from Fornication

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain fro fornication. I Thessalonians 4:3.

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints. Ephesians 5:3.

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. I Corinthians 6:18.

Abstain from Things Offered to Idols

But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sakes that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof. 1 Corinthians 10:28

But I say that the things which the gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of the devils: ye cannot be the partakers of the Lord's Table, and of the table of devils. 1 Corinthians 10:19-21.

And touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols and from blood and from fornication. Acts 21:25.

Abstain from Blood and Things Strangled

But the flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. Genesis 9:4.

Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast in any of your dwellings. Leviticus 7:26.

But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication and from things strangled, and from blood. Acts15:20.

Serve God

And now Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul. Deuteronomy 10:12.

Serve the Lord in fear and rejoice in trembling. Psalms 2:11.

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. Hebrews 12:28.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58.

Ensure Your Calling

Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure. 2Peter1:10.

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. 1Peter 1:7.

And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end. Hebrew 6:11.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name in that ye have ministered to the saints and do minister.
